Vrachar Deacon Made to Order - Ivory with Gold Embroidery
The relics of St. Sava were burned by the Ottomans on the Belgrade rising known as Vrachar. VRACHAR, named after this area which today is a central suburb of Belgrade, features a traditional floral ornament taken from the frescoes of the Monastery of Zicha in central Serbia, combined with the double headed eagle of the Nemanjic dynasty to which St. Sava belonged.
Available in blue and gold thread on ivory silk, or gold and navy thread on blue silk, the delicate balance and harmony of this style is crowned by the inclusion of a decorative Byzantine cross on the back of the stiharion.
The set of vestments for deacon includes stiharion, orarion and cuffs.
As with all our made to measure vestments, you can add any of the hand embroidered icons seen on our website to the various pieces of vesture.
