Iviron2 Bishop Made to Order Vestment - Ivory with Gold Embroidery

The treasury of the Athonite monastery of Iviron contains some of the finest examples of embroidered stoles from the workshops of Crete. One such stole with icons of the twelve apostles inspired this resplendent design.

The set of stole and omophorion seen in blue and ivory silk can be done in a host of colour combinations. The omophorion features hand embroidered icons of the Deisis.

A sakkos with icons of the Major Feasts featuring the ornamental vines characteristic of this design, is combined with the HILANDAR ornamental border and Byzantine style crosses.

The cuffs feature delicately hand embroidered icons of the Annunciation, the belt a six winged angel, the epigonation the Mother of God Enthroned, and on the back of the felonion, the Image Made Without Hands.

IVIRON2 sets can be made in any colour on pure silk fabric.

As with all our made to measure vestments, you can add any of the hand embroidered icons seen on our website to the various pieces of vesture.

ABOUT OUR STANDARD SIZING

The stiharion length is adjustable enabling it to be easily lengthened by up to 2 inches (5cm).
The felonion is generously proportioned, the back length finishing 6-8 inches (15-20cm) off the floor.
The RIZA cut will accommodate marginally smaller or larger body types in each size.
The epitrahilion has a slightly dropped front neck for comfortable movement and is finished with tassels at the hem.
Tassels can be shortened by up to 2 inches (5cm) to accommodate personal preference.

Your RIZA STANDARD SIZE will provide you with a good fit, with few exceptions.
